FAQ

What do I wear? 

Please wear comfortable, close-fitting clothing that allows freedom of movement and covers backs of the knees, underarms, and waist when hands are extended above the head. Loose shirts and shorts are not recommended as they can get caught on the apparatus. Men may want to wear briefs or a dancer belt.
Long hair should be tied back.
Be sure your clothing doesn’t have any velcro, zippers, or rivets that may catch on or damage the apparatus.

We have bathrooms you are welcome to change in, if needed. We also have cubbies for you to store your belonging in during class.

Be mindful of what you bring into the space. Place personal belonging into the cubbies or Hang them on the hooks. Leave the benches clear of personal belongings, so they can be used for their intended purpose of sitting. This is a shared space please keep it clean of others enjoyment.

We will be barefoot, please remove your shoes.
Socks are optional. Being barefoot allows for a stronger grip.

No hand lotion (it will interfere with your grip), and please no heavy fragrances, natural or otherwise.

Please remove all jewelry before class (this includes wedding rings)

We do not provide any grip aids. If you require a grip aid please feel free to bring it.
You are welcome to use your own rosin.

Please do not use Chalk on fabric apparatus.

Please clean up any mess your chalk or rosin may leave on the floor.

Respect the space. This space is precious to us.

What if I have no upper body strength?

That’s what classes are for! Our intro classes are geared towards absolute new comers and are designed to build strength, flexibility, and confidence. You don’t need to be able to do a pull up to begin aerial training. We will teach you everything you need to know and help get your strong, in a safe, and fun way.

Can I wear gloves for added grip?
No. Here at Pt Arts we will help train and strengthen your grip so you will not need gloves. Most gloves also have velcro on them which can damage the apparatus.

Can I take photos during class?

Yes you are welcome to take photos during class. Please ask another studio to take photos rather than the instructor so the instructor can continue spotting. Please no videos. Always ask other students before photographing them.

Where do I park?

There is parking available Behind the building, please park on an angle to allow the most cars. You can enter the building from the rear parking lot, through the middle door. The front door to the building will normally be locked, please enter through the back door from the parking lot.
